Definition of a Real Man by Omar Jesus Bravo

Real Men come in all different shapes, sizes, and colors... But there are some universal truths and rules about Real Men to which there are no exceptions (this list is a work-in-progress):

1. Real Men Inspire, Empower, & Engage the World they Live In for the Glory of God.

Real Men inspire people with their optimism and hope in the future. They empower people with the love they show through their actions and words. They engage themselves in the lives of others by sharing their blessings. And they do all these things in order to bring Glory to God... "Love God by Serving Others, Serve God by Loving Others. For God IS Love."

2. Real Men are all a "Work-in-Progress"

As Jesus Christ is the Original Super Hero and the model of the perfect man, Real Men know that their goal of following Jesus perfectly is unachievable. Even so, they continue to strive toward spreading the perfect , selfless, unconditional love & forgiveness that they have received directly from God on to the rest of the World.

3. Real Men are secure in their Manhood.

Real Men don't have to "prove" anything to anybody. They don't have to put others down or beat others up to make themselves look good. They already know what they stand for and their track record speaks for itself. Not to say that they haven't stumbled along the way. But it's not how many times you stumble that counts. What matters is how many times you get back up... Even Jesus fell three times under the weight of the Cross. What made Him God was that He got back up after each of those falls... And the last time is was "from the dead."

4. Real Men know they can't do it alone.

This one is simple: If God intended Men to work alone, why would He (in His infinite wisdom) have given Eve to Adam? In life, Real Men gratefully and enthusiastically utilize and employ the help of their friends and family that God has blessed them with to again bring more Glory to God. No REAL MAN is an island.

5. Real Men take action.

Real Men don't worry...  Either they get interested and get involved, or they admit they don't care and move on.  A Real Man is defined first by his actions, then by his words. Had Jesus not fed the hungry, healed the sick, clothed the naked, and then died on the cross for His friends, His command for us to "love our neighbor" wouldn't have carried as much weight. Talk is cheap without Action.
